Five of the Top Branson Shows and Attractions
You will be 230 feet above the ground overlooking Branson and the beautiful Ozark Mountains. From the enclosed observation deck you will launch on a breathtaking ride over the 160 acre homestead.
The new zipline is called the “Vigilante” and they have specially designed seats that will make reading for almost anyone very easy. Riders must weigh between 75 lbs and 275 lbs. The ride opens at 10am, and the closing times vary throughout the tourist season. I felt the 29 dollar price was fair and is comparable to the other zip line tours in the area.
How does it work?
When you get to the top of a tower a zip line operator has you sit in a harness and they will make sure that you are harnessed in properly. The ride operator then opens the gates and launches the riders out the doors with no responsibilities to control their speed or breaking. There is a patented braking system that will slow you down when you are nearing the bottom. The pamphlet says that you reach speeds of almost 50 mph and I believe that. It was a great experience and I strongly recommend others to give it a try. I’m not too fond of heights, but I felt safe and I’m glad that I gave this ride a try.
The let you know that the “Vigilante” ziprider is only the 11th ride of this kind in the world. The zipline will carry you downhill 1/2 mile across the beautiful Branson, Missouri landscape.
Why do they call the ride the Vigilante?
The name pays tribute to Branson’s unique heritage. The Baldknobbers were a group of vigilantes that were infamous in the Ozark Mountains in the 1800’s and their history pays a vital role in the Shepherd of the Hills Story (which is where the zipline is located).
The views are incredible from the top of the Inspiration Tower, and zip lining down to the bottom is a very surreal experience. It’s bout as close as you can get to actually flying. As your cascading down to the bottom you see the world from a different perspective. It’s as if your a bird gliding across the blue skies on a warm sunny day. Zip lines are a fun and exciting attraction idea if you are coming to Branson.
Branson, Missouri is one of the Midwest’s greatest tourist destinations. There Are many attractions in Branson, and people of every age are sure to find several things to see and do while in town. While there are collectively hundreds of museums, variety shows, shops, parks, playgrounds, and other activities in Branson, following are five of the most highly recommended.
1. Branson Scenic Railway
For a great scenic tour of the Ozarks and the area surrounding Branson, a ride on the Scenic Railway is a must. While on the railway tour, a guide provides riders with a lot of information and history about the Branson area. The scenery that can be viewed from the train is magnificent and the train cars, which are designed to be like they were in the old days, allow riders to feel like they are on a train ride from the past.
2. Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show
This show is one of Branson’s most popular attractions.
